    What You'll Do

    We are currently seeking a Creative Project Manager, who will work closely with the creative staff and internal marketing and sales clients to oversee all aspects of project requests, including (but not limited to) setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress, preparing status reports, production and sourcing of external deliverables. The ideal candidate acts as a consultant, analyst and business-minded person who can help provide the Business Unit with the problem-solving and resource management skills to deliver customer-focused solutions on time, on budget, and to agency-quality standards.


    This role maintains the internal Project Management system and helps review and coordinates with Art Director and graphic designers to resolve incomplete design requests from clients and provide brand-appropriate solutions. The Project Manager needs to develop and cultivate relationships internally and with external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction, quality control and timely delivery of final projects.


    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Maintains, collects, updates, and follows up on specific details with Art Director, Marketing Director and their staff of what is needed for inputting requests and design briefs into the Wilson Project Management system for new as well as on-going projects in the department.
    • Monitors design time tracking and project due dates and facilitates the information collection and sharing of department workloads via dashboard tool or formalized reports from the system.
    • Daily coordination with Business Director, Art Director and design staff to determine the status and obstacles of all projects in the department. Uses problem solving and interpersonal skills to track down project details, changes and revisions and resolve issues and missing information to provide clear direction to the creative staff.
    • Proactively problem-solves with creative, production and marketing to ensure smooth progress on all client projects. Where possible, makes problems go away through proactive management. Uses great negotiation and people skills to manage conflicts with clients and creatives related to revisions, workloads and timing/bandwidth issues
    • Contributes to fundamental tasks such sourcing pick-up files, folder structure set-up, and occasionally resizing print ads, web banners and other miscellaneous requests for accounts and marketing to reduce workloads on design staff when needed.
    • Requests, collects, and reviews, as needed, all marketing and sales project specifications for outside bids and quotations and cost estimates with Business Directors, Art Directors and Marketing Director for sourcing. This includes projects such as photography, print, POP, etc.
    • Ensures through project management process that budgets and estimates are input into the system for client reviews and approvals. Coordinates with designers in the department to get artwork produced and assists with collection, pre-flight and release of files.
    • Responsible for learning the on-going implementation of Wilson Project Management systems and equipment. Reviews, recommends and implements new Project Management tool revisions and upgrades to keep evolving and improving the department’s ability to satisfy our clients’ needs.
    • Provide hands-on training and support for new internal Business Unit, designers being on-boarded and general users. Helps with Project Management tool/software tips and tricks and is an overall advocate of the system and how to use it.
    • Responsible for maintaining the job log for project tracking as well as individual time tracking sheets in a timely manner.



    What We're Looking For

    This role requires an Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Graphic Arts, or a related area.  The ideal candidate will be accredited in Agile processes or related planning techniques or methodologies.  We are looking for a candidate with 4years of strong experience in account management, production management, traffic management, or related area with ad agency or a corporate in-house creative department.


    Other qualifications include:


    • Skilled with Mac computers and Adobe CS graphics related software applications (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop) for basic production/design, pre-flight checks to collect, package, and troubleshoot files for release
    • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Good working knowledge background with brand portals and/or enterprise servers and project management software from previous in-house or agency experience.
    • Highly organized, flexible and detail-oriented
    • Self-motivated, with a positive, can-do attitude.
    • Professional demeanor and strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Possesses a creative eye and enthusiasm about photography, design, and the creative process and procedures involved to deliver support to the designer and client needs
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships internally and with external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction, quality control and timely delivery of final projects.
    • Strong negotiation skills at managing multiple bids, quotes and cost estimations,
    • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities; ability to provide technical input and recommendations for design phases, streamline information gathering, reducing lost design time and costs to improve quality.
