    What You'll Do

    We are currently seeking a Contract Tour Coordinator - Team Sports, who will manage on-site activations for 30+ events in 2018-19, spanning across football, basketball and volleyball. The events are a balance between grassroots and partnership events, including College Football Playoff, Super Bowl, AVP Tour and Final Four. The Tour Coordinator – Team Sports will balance travel, event logistics and marketing activation to manage the Wilson Airstream Experience, a mobile experience used to tell the Wilson brand story. The contract is expected to last from December 1, 2018, through September 30, 2019 with an option for extension. Please note that we are seeking an independent contractor, so you will be responsible for billing Wilson through invoices and will receive a Form 1099.


    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Act as an event manager, traveling nearly 100% of the time (in continental U.S. only), going from event to event
    • Able to work nights and weekends when needed
    • Manage logistics and execution of multiple marketing events, including reporting on each event back to HQ
    • Generate leads while on-site for football, basketball and volleyball clubs and organizations that Wilson can target in the future
    • Assist with product demos of new products while on-site
    • Capture content while on-site at events, such as imagery, videos and testimonials
    • Recruit and train brand ambassadors as needed
    • Find storage for the Airstream


    What We're Looking For

    This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.  We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of strong experience as a brand ambassador, event coordinator, account coordinator, or tour manager for a brand or agency.  Knowledge of American Football, Basketball, and/or Volleyball and prior on-site event activation experience is a must!  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in order management, inventory control, product forecasting, and customer service. 


    Other qualifications include:


    • Valid Driver’s license required
    • Experience towing a 10-foot trailer preferred
    • Strong communication skills to effectively present information to consumers and drive trial/purchase
    • Extremely outgoing personality necessary to network with the public and identify the untapped customers for Wilson Team Sports
    • Solid attention to detail with strong organization and project management skills
    • Ability to manage own time working independently without the need for constant oversight
    • Ability to think quickly and adjust on the fly if something does not go to plan
    • Strong financial understanding with ability to manage budgets and control inventory
    • Proven ability to work under pressure with tight timelines
    • Able to lift heavy objects during setup/breakdown, and be on their feet for long periods of time
    • Experience working with outside partners and/or vendors to successfully execute event marketing
    • Photography and/or videography skills are a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
    • Former high school and/or collegiate athlete in football, basketball or volleyball preferred
