    What You'll Do

    We are currently seeking a Direct to Consumer Marketing  intern who will work with the Associate Marketing Manager to complete projects enhancing the Team Sports marketing efforts in direct to consumer marketing . To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

     

    • Support direct to consumer marketing/e-commerce programs that allow consumers to buy in bulk direct from wilson.com. Intern will assist with ordering process for new customers, troubleshooting, assortment auditing and email marketing integration. All will be vital in order for programs to hit yearly sales goals.
    • Generate leads for football, basketball and volleyball clubs and organizations that Wilson can target in the future for direct buying programs. Leads will vary by sport but we need active audiences to email information to about the programs.
    • Execute grassroots partnership needs for various sports organizations. This entails developing a comprehensive list of what each partner requires, timing, and assets exchanged in return. Also tracking metrics so we can see effectiveness of direct marketing with each partner. Deliverable will be an organized excel list of details for each partner, as well as execution on those needs that occur during internship. 
    • Lead research on direct marketing tactics and develop a POV on new initiatives that Wilson should consider. Deliverable is a recommendation powerpoint on what is recommended that we do to increase direct sales.
    • Travel to occasional events to fulfill direct marketing initiatives and sign-up consumers for email marketing campaigns. This will entail working with tour coordinator and brand manager to ensure events have all consumer needs covered and metrics are being recorded for all events.

    What We're Looking For

    • Knowledge of | Fan of American Football, Basketball and/or Beach Volleyball
    • Able to travel 15% of internship to events, sometimes on nights and weekends, and work on-site with setup/maintenance/breakdown. Requires lifting boxes and being on your feet for long periods of time
    • Extremely outgoing personality who isn’t afraid to engage with consumers
    • Tech savvy with comfortability working with websites on a daily basis, setting up consumer groups and auditing product assortments/pricing.
    • Experience working with external partners to successfully execute grassroots marketing programs
    • Pro-active self-starter who can work autonomously, without needing constant oversight and direction
    • Team player who can effectively collaborate across multiple divisions, including marketing, commercial, e-commerce, creative and product.
    • Proven project manager who is accountable to lead a project from start to finish
    • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and time management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook
