    What You'll Do

    Wilson Sporting Goods Co., the world’s premier ball sports equipment manufacturing company, has a 1st shift opening in our Maintenance Department for our Wilson Football plant located in Ada, OH. 


    This position performs maintenance and repairs of various machines including Puritan, Lockstitch, Singer/ Pfaff/Juki Sewing Machines and Leather Splitting Machines.  This position will work with other Maintenance Personnel in the performance of their duties of installing, removing and/or repairing machines, equipment and repairs to the building.  This position will also be responsible for the upkeep and general maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/vacuum, hydraulic, and facility equipment/systems, including both reactive and preventative maintenance programs:


    • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to ensure all facilities/utility equipment is operating properly and efficiently
    • Respond promptly to calls when equipment malfunctions
    • Repair, rebuild, inspect, install, set-up, and maintain facilities/utility equipment
    • Perform the maintenance tasks of inspection, monitoring, repair/replacement, reinstallation and testing of the facility equipment/systems
    • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment during weekends to ensure that all equipment operates as efficiently as possible
    • Read/interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for proper equipment operations

    What We're Looking For



    • High School Diploma or GED, Technical Degree preferred
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience working with facility and utility equipment preferred
    • Consistent, outstanding performance level in safety, work ethic, and professionalism
    • Attention to detail with demonstrated ability in problem solving
    • Mechanical and Electrical aptitude
    • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) preferred
    • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, hand-held power tools, and precision measurement tools


    This is a union hourly position.  Starting pay begins at $15.70 per hour.
