Wilson Sporting Goods would like to announce  Direct Hire opportunities for VAS Tech  at our Nashville Warehouse. We seek an experienced 1st-shift Vas Tech (Hours 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.).

What You'll Do

We are currently seeking a VAS Tech, who will perform troubleshooting, maintenance, machining and fabrication of equipment with the guidance given by the Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineering team.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fabrication of new equipment, mandrels, tooling, etc. as needed for R&D, Testing, and the Facility in accordance with supervisor and engineering team expectations.
  • Maintains operating condition of facilities and equipment; completes simple and complex repairs.  Conduct Preventative Maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Analyzes and solves technical maintenance problems.
  • Utilizes mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and fabrication knowledge to complete projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrates machine functions, work methods plus techniques to train workers on new equipment developed in the fabrication shop.
  • Helps develop cost estimates and timelines on new equipment or upgrades to existing equipment.

What We're Looking For

This role requires a High School Diploma or a GED.  We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of strong relevant work experience in steel maintenance and fitting/welding.  CAD/SolidWorks experience is a plus!

 

Other qualifications include: 

  • Ability to set up and operate mills, lathes, CNC, drill presses, welders, etc. to close tolerances
  • Ability to read and produce blueprints for parts and fixtures.
  • Ability to work safely around high voltages up to 440 AC 3 Phase.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Organized and detail-oriented
