What You'll Do

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

  • Lead and conduct Lean onsite transformation workshops and implementing the results with the operations leadership and team.
  • Leading and supervising the improvement activities with focus on creating measurable impact and supporting the development of the Nashville Distributions Centers.
  • Contribute to the Nashville long-term solution design and development.
  • Assists in the design and lead the continuous improvement processes by identifying training needs and participate in delivering training in the areas of problem-solving methodology, Kaizens, 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Participate in the development of regional and globally led Lean initiatives.
  • Design and implement process improvement with continuous improvement methodology.
  • Provide technical training to operators in the areas of defect identification and maintenance practices.
  • Draft, manage and communicate all requirements and submit any required tickets or RFC’s.
  • Carry out the Lean and 5S audits.
  • Engages the leadership team in setting and achieving goals utilizing Lean initiatives; includes working with key leadership both functionally and strategically to drive overall improvements in specified areas.
  • Compile, design, and present reports for efficient warehouse operations.
  • Review customer requirements against SOPs for changes required and further discussion with leadership.
  • Support global reporting initiatives related to warehouse operations i.e. warehouse capacity planning.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary.

What We're Looking For

Post-secondary education in computer science, business administration, information systems or a related discipline required.

  • Proven track record in Lean shopfloor implementation activities.
  • One (1) year of distribution/inventory management experience.
  • Experience with SAP / ERP system is an asset.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

  • Keen on understanding processes, proposing, and implementing improvement actions.
  • Field oriented, pragmatic, problem solving attitude, hands on, analytical skills, structured and organized.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong understanding of business functions, workflows, and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of workflow and process control software an asset.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and RF devices.
