What You'll Do

We are currently seeking an Associate Designer who will provide work on design tasks for the Sportswear Department including the sketching of designs and filling of tech packs.

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Responsible for supporting creative vision and direction for the Women’s Sportswear line
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all CADs, tech sketches, BOMs, and tech packs in PLM
  • Responsible for maintaining VLPs (Visual Line Plan) and capturing all changes through entire lifecycle
  • Cross-functional involvement in fittings, reviewing color and strike-offs, communicating fabric and trim approvals, handover to support team in China
  • Responsible for managing and hitting all deadlines and communicating any issues
  • Is a team player, able to work closely with other team members to help manage overall workload for the department in addition to managing their own workload
  • Organized, great with time management and attention to detail
  • Able to function in a fast-paced work environment that is growing and evolving rapidly

What We're Looking For

  • A fashion design degree from an accredited academic institution
  • 2-4 years of design experience
  • Strong knowledge of apparel design and garment construction
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient on Mac platform
  • Must be able to work proficiently in Adobe Illustrator
  • Photoshop and InDesign are a plus
  • Knowledge of Centrix PLM is a plus
  • Experience with fabric and wash development - fabric drape and technical properties where applicable
  • Experience with graphic techniques is a plus
  • Strong self-leader and can also take direction
  • Must have examples of work and portfolio to be considered
