What You'll Do

Accurate data is at the core of building efficiency in the Wilson supply chain and ensures our ability to achieve our financial and strategic ambitions. The Master Data Specialist’s primary role is to support, maintain and improve upon the accuracy of Wilson (Sparta, TN) data and operations. As a MDS you will create and maintain data records, as well as create automatic reports to improve the overall integrity and efficiency of our data. He/she will also participate in projects related to significant updates to category information including large data migrations as well as design, implementation, and management of new databases. Establish and maintain constant and effective communication with outside developers and other locations.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

 

SAP Maintenance

  • Manage SAP tables for production identifiers.
  • Collaborate with global IT Services ensuring local SAP transactions function and are optimized.
  • Develop and maintain regular information flow for foreign partners and update as needed.
  • Regularly monitor data for continuous improvements to the cleanliness and integrity of data.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to database management.
  • Collaborate with Sparta team closely on master data requirements and liaise with HQ.

Business Support

  • Researches and leads development of new software applications to create synergistic communication between platforms in order to enhance, improve and apply lean ideals to current systems.
  • Participate in and support new implementations through testing, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot cross-functional master data information issues and business interruptions.
  • Provide support to Operations team related to ad-hoc process improvement or data migration projects.
  • Maintain all required backups of essential data.
  • Maintain effective communication with all internal departments to identify bottlenecks within production.
  • Remediate bottlenecks in the production process to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Design, test, and implement new optimization procedures.
  • Upgrade current systems to conform to industry standards and practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service, supply chain, analyst, or similar role.
  • Proficient in SAP or similar program.
  • Experience with Filemaker or similar database management.
  • Experience with Filemaker or similar database management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) with an Advanced to Intermediate level of Excel.
  • Proficiency in SQL, JSON, Node JS, JQuery, VBA

What We’ll Provide

 

The pay range for this role is $41,600 - $52,000 at the time of this posting.
