What You'll Do

Participates in the daily activities and operations of the Mount Juliet Distribution Warehouse. Performs an array of functions that include verifying quantity, quality, and labeling of outgoing goods per customer order, ensuring that all customer orders have shipping labels and are packed to customer specs by performing the following duties:

  • Process returned merchandise promptly and accurately, following established procedures and guidelines
  • Inspect returned items for damages, missing parts, and other defects, documenting any issues appropriately
  • Determine the appropriate disposition of returned items, such as restocking, repairing, or disposing of them
  • Update inventory records to reflect returned items and their status
  • Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure timely processing of returns and minimize inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety cleanliness standards
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments, such as customer service and quality control, to resolve customer issues and improve processes
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to returns, inventory management, and safety
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including receiving and processing stock, picking and packing orders, and conducting inventory checks
  • Work independently and in a team environment, willing to help in other departments and work overtime when necessary (flexibility is a must)
  • Consistently work scheduled shifts and be on time in order to comply with company attendance policy
  • Report any unsafe work conditions that might occur
  • Other duties as required

What We're Looking For

Skills and Conditions of Employment: 

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
  • The ability to work the 1st shift work schedule: currently Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 3:00PM 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to communicate effectively with others.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to count accurately and efficiently

  • Ability to focus on details. Accuracy is a must.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack
