What You'll Do

The Inventory Auditor will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with various departments to ensure efficient supply chain operations.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels, product codes, and descriptions.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate potential shortages or excesses, taking appropriate actions to optimize stock levels.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate inventory replenishment.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to fulfill customer orders and resolve any inventory-related issues.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports, identifying trends and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist in implementing inventory control procedures to minimize loss, theft, and damage.
  • Conduct periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area, ensuring proper labeling and segregation of items.
  • Assist in the implementation of inventory management software and train other team members on its usage.

 OTHER

  • Train new associates on the above shipping tasks
  • Sweep and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Report any unsafe work conditions that might occur
  • Other duties as required

What We're Looking For

Skills and Conditions of Employment: 

  • Proven experience as an Auditor or similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office suite.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy items, if required.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to inventory management.
  • The ability to work the 1st shift work schedule: currently Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 3:00PM CT. 
  • This position requires schedule flexibility, as dictated by business demand and available resources including overtime at times 
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to communicate effectively with others.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to count accurately and efficiently
