What You'll Do

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee all logistics operations at our Sparta, TN facility. This role is responsible for receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and shipping activities, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective, and timely movement of goods from arrival to delivery.

 

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with hands‑on SAP experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally to support operational performance.

 

 

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant material flow.
  • Manage all logistics transactions within SAP, including goods receipts, transfers, and shipments.
  • Use SAP reporting tools to maintain inventory accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and support cycle counts.
  • Lead and develop logistics team members while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support skill development throughout the team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive decision‑making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, negotiate rates, and monitor service performance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and procurement to resolve discrepancies or material issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Quality to support material availability and operational performance.
  • Maintain a positive, collaborative, and solutions‑oriented work environment.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of logistics management experience (preferably in an apparel or manufacturing environment) and at least 2 years of hands‑on SAP experience.

 

 

Other qualifications include:

  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, including receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
  • Proven team leadership and people‑management experience.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP or other ERP/logistics systems.
  • Experience with logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of lean principles, continuous improvement, or process optimization methodologies is a plus.

 

What We’ll Provide

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $85,000 - $95,000 per year at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program.
