What You'll Do

 

We are seeking a Direct to Film (DTF) Print Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining digital printing equipment to produce high-quality prints for customer orders.

 

The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, takes ownership of equipment maintenance, and can consistently deliver accurate, high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.

 

This position may also cross-train in other production areas.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

  • Operate DTF digital printers using specialized software and ensure jobs are processed accurately
  • Monitor print output to maintain consistent color, alignment, and quality standards
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including cleaning and basic troubleshooting
  • Document maintenance activities and escalate recurring issues as needed
  • Prepare and transfer job files using RIP software and manage print queues
  • Perform precise color matching to meet customer specifications
  • Inspect printed materials for defects and ensure quality before production handoff
  • Handle post-print processes, including:
    • DTF layout interpretation (job cards, visuals)
    • Cutting and organizing heat transfer applications (HTAs)
    • Matching prints to job specifications and identifying issues
  • Transport completed work to the next stage of production

 

What We're Looking For

This role requires:

  • Experience in DTF, digital printing, screen printing, or machine operation preferred
  • Ability to learn and operate print software (e.g., Ergosoft, VersaWorks, InEdit)
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Adobe Illustrator is a plus
  • Understanding of printing processes and color consistency is preferred
